Selenous Acid
Selenous acid is the principal oxoacid of selenium. A hygroscopic compound analogous to sulfurous acid, it is used to protect and change the color of steel, as an oxidizing agent in reactions, as a component of the Mecke reagent used for drug checking, etc.
