Hydrofluoric acid is a solution of hydrogen fluoride dissolved in water, and is considered a very strong acid. It is an inorganic, acidic, and highly corrosive. Hydrofluoric acid is available in various reagent grades and can be utilized to produce organofluorine compounds, in extraction processes, and as a reactionary intermediate.
