Indomethacin is a synthetic NSAID of the indole family that inhibits cyclooxygenase and reduces prostaglandin and pyrogen release
Indomethacin may suppress the multi-drug resistant transporter and thereby increase the efficacy of antineoplastics
Indomethacin activates phosphatases that inhibit signaling pathways associated with cancer cell migration and proliferation

Applications

Indomethacin may be used for the laboratory study of cancer cell proliferation, tumorigenesis and drug interactions
Indomethacin may be used for laboratory study of the effect of inhibiting the multi-drug resistance transporter, or for downregulation of survival signaling in cells via survivin
