Applications
Beta-Naphthol violet exhibits antiseptic properties and is used in the synthesis of certain azo dyes and antioxidants for rubber. It can also be used in the detection of the ferric ion which turns the Beta-Naphthol violet solution green.

Soluble in water.

Notes
Store in a cool, dry place in tightly closed container. Incompatible with oxidizing agents.
