Sulfuric acid has an useful applications in domestic acidic drain cleaner,as a drying agent, electrolyte in lead-acid batteries and various cleaning agents. It is also useful for mineral processing, fertilizer manufacturing, oil refining, waste water processing, and chemical synthesis. The sulfuric acid doped poly (m-aminophenol) is used as aliphatic alcohol vapor sensor material. The catalytic decomposition of sulfuric acid on mixed Cr/Fe oxide, shows an useful application in sulfur-iodine cycle for hydrogen production.
