Give your cryogenic storage tubes and vials extra protection when needed with Thermo Scientific™ Storage Tube Protection accessories. For example, safeguard your samples when storing in liquid or vapor phase nitrogen, or when shipping samples. These cryogenic storage accessories, such as tube wraps, sleeves and mini-boxes, have safe handling in mind.
- If you want to submerge your cryotubes in the liquid phase of nitrogen, seal them first inside Nunc™ Cryoflex™ tubing to prevent liquid nitrogen from infiltrating the tube. Cryoflex™ tubing can used to crimp and heat shrink an impenetrable safety skin around the tube prior to submersion.
- Nalgene™ CryoSleeves™ slide over any Nunc or Nalgene Cryocane and prevent tubes from falling out of the cryocane and into the bottom of the liquid nitrogen dewar. Nalgene™ CryoSleeves™ do not prevent infiltration of liquid nitrogen. Cryogenic tubes mounted in the cane must first be sealed inside Cryoflex™ tubing prior to applying the CryoSleeve™ if liquid phase submersion is required.
